The Return of Forgotten Knowledge: Are We Remembering Rather Than Discovering?

Shared from Mu the Motherland

We’ve talked in depth about ancient civilizations, the idea that we have all been here before and how the past influences the way we deal with current events. Topics that twenty years ago seemed unusual have become part of everyday conversations.

  • Meditation
  • Consciousness
  • Sound and resonance
  • Sacred geometry
  • Ancient civilizations
  • Indigenous wisdom
  • Alternative healing traditions
  • Near-death experiences
  • Human potential

Are we simply remembering what we once knew?  History is cyclical and humanity’s collective consciousness often remembers and forgets in unison. During the Kali Yuga humanity gradually moved away from higher awareness. The defining characteristic is not evil, but forgetfulness.

People have forgotten:

  • Their connection to nature
  • Their connection to spirit
  • Their connection to one another
  • Their deeper potential

In the same way, ideas once dismissed, often reappear generations later. Perhaps knowledge never completely disappears. It simply waits to be rediscovered. With the help of the internet our memories are resurfacing. Discussions around ancient texts, indigenous teachings, archaeological discoveries, comparative mythology are readily available; to be embraced or discarded according to an individual’s ‘gut’ reaction. Ironically, the very technology often blamed for distraction may also be accelerating humanity’s ability to reconnect with forgotten knowledge. It is how we use these new tools that matter. If nothing else, humanity has free will to act in ways that propel or stagnate spiritual development, individually and/or collectively—all while keeping a close eye on intention, be it good or evil.

This month, June 2026 and next, July 2026, are blazoned across the internet as special. Special to what? —change in its many forms. We are challenged daily to question societal changes that haven’t been seen in recent recorded history. Many suggest that these times are a reflection, if not a repeat, of pre-history and pre-catastrophic destruction as encapsulated in the legends of Mu, Atlantis, and a lost Golden Age. While opinions differ regarding their historical reality, the persistence of these stories raises an intriguing question: why do so many cultures remember a time when humanity possessed greater wisdom, harmony, or understanding?

Gaia, or more commonly known as Mother Earth is unsettled. Climate change is linked to humankind’s interference with the environment, but there seems to be more to it—links that bind the physical with the spiritual—technology that mimics what we believe to have existed in Mu and Atlantis. Have we been given another chance to get it right? Hopefully so.

Last month, in the May 2026 post, we considered those that label themselves as Lightworkers and Starseeds. Many of them who embrace these characterizations, also see themselves as channelers—ones that can hear beings of higher consciousness speaking to and through them. Whether you believe them or not, what’s interesting is that the messages are similar in that they insist that help from beyond is here and now. They go further to say that humankind is not on the verge of destruction and is in fact spiraling into a ‘New Age’ of advanced spirituality driven by love. They insist that everything is going as it should and that these confusing times will soon end as evil loses its power over civilization and falls by the wayside. What’s important, they say, is that we center our higher consciousness and proceed calmly and creatively into the future—ignoring the negative and giving power to the positive.

Another area of interest revolves around scientific monitoring. In particular, many look to the Schumann resonance, which is a set of natural electromagnetic waves that resonate in the thin cavity between the Earth’s surface and the ionosphere. Driven globally by lightning strikes, these waves circle the planet, producing a continuous “heartbeat” with a fundamental frequency of about 7.83 Hz. Considered by most scientists as basic weather monitoring, there is an increasing interest in how the spikes and blackout periods of recorded waves effect people, animals, and the earth in general. Those that believe that we are directly influenced by these electromagnetic waves, also see the recorded changes as another positive step towards a peaceful future and higher consciousness.

Astrologers are also on board with predictions that humankind is in fact in the midst of spiritual revival. They insist that these two months, June and July, will bring about an enormous change in the earth and its inhabitants—or at least be the beginning of higher energy development. Once again, they tell us to hold on tight, stay centered, calm, meditative and receptive to loving change. They suggest that we be aware of what’s going on around us, but give negativity little notice and limit its power until it fizzles. If we resist negativity and move forward towards light and love, it will be alright. Events are unfolding as they should and all will be well.

So, back to remembering and forgetting. Are the sensitives remembering the past, as they predict the future? Have they tapped into some ancient wisdom that was at one time considered normal, and utilized in technological advancement? We are living in the most technologically advanced period in history, yet the more information we have, the more people are seeking the wisdom behind the facts. What has triggered our attention? Globally these memories of lost golden ages, great floods, sacred mountains, culture-bringers, and cycles of decline and renewal have embedded themselves in our psyches. How can the myths and stories embraced worldwide be so similar? Are we recognizing that which resonates in everyone? And if so, doesn’t that prove that we are all really one? —connected biologically as well as spiritually. If so, isn’t it time that we truly embrace one another as family?

Throughout history, humanity has repeatedly looked forward in search of answers. Yet in recent years, a curious trend has emerged. More people are looking backward—to ancient civilizations, indigenous traditions, sacred sites, and forgotten teachings. The question is no longer simply what new discoveries await us, but whether some of our most important discoveries have already been made and subsequently forgotten. It’s time, let’s embrace the opportunities, and remember better times, together.
